Great tutorial it even made sence eventhough it's written in Norwegian (is it Norsk?)!^_^ I'm getting my first sewingmachine for my birthday and I've just knitted a bag and I'm new to sewing so I was wondering if you could please give me some tips on how to sew in the lining? I'd really appreciate it^_^
What I do is that I sew the lining together first, press in at the top-edge, pin it down, stich fastening round by hand (big stiches, just so it doesn't slip and then either use a machine around the edge or hand stich. If the knit is loose and transparent you should probably make a lining with two sides. There's a tutorial at: http://webpages.charter.net/langkilde/linebag.html Hm, did any of this make sense? Would just like to point out that I'm still learning... My granny used to be a seamstress so she gives me a few tips though. That helps. :)
